The Great Harriet Tubman - (born Araminta Ross c. March 1822[1] Dorchester County, Maryland, U.S. Died, March 10, 1913 (aged 90–91) was an Afrikan American Freedom Fighter and social activist, most popularly known for her unmatched role as a conductor on the Underground Railroad. During a 10-year span guided only by the North Star and her strong faith in her God and her Gun, she made over 19 trips to the South freeing over 300 enslaved people including family and friends without losing a single passenger. Those negroes who were too cowardly to seize their freedom were quickly met with the barrel of Harriet's revolver followed by the words "You'll be free or die." Negroes quickly chose the former.
Harriet famously said "I reasoned out this in my mind: there was one of two things I had a right to, liberty or death; if I could not have one, I would have the other, for no man should take me alive, I should fight for my liberty as long as my strength lasted and when the time came for me to go, the lord would let them take me.
