Akofena Apparel is a Black-owned clothing brand which seeks to educate, decolonize and empower black people through clothing. 

 

Akofena, also called Akrafena,  is a sword belonging to the Asante (or Ashanti) people of Ghana. The word Akofena means 'Swords of War' and represents the principles of gallantry, heroism, courage and valour. It also signifies the integrity and prestige of the supreme power. Our brand is the embodiment of these principles, instilling in the wearer a true awareness of his/her blackness.

Akofena Apparel is not for the faint-hearted, weak negroes, Uncle Toms or Sambos we weaponize clothing to fight against white indoctrination arousing black people to take action against the injustices currently befalling them globally.
